When is Boxing Day and is there a sale on that day too?

December 26^th of every year, that is, the day after Christmas day is celebrated as Boxing Day and is an extension of the Christmas revelry. In the olden times, this was the day when the gentry class would give their maids and servants the day off, and send them home with Christmas boxes, filled with either food, sweets or gifts. Another connotation is that this is the day to throw away all the boxes, which held the Christmas gifts. However, for the shopping world, this is yet another day when they can shop for interesting products.
