The DJI Neo Drone combines beginner-friendly operation with pro-level quality, offering a fun and creative alternative to traditional selfie sticks or tripods. Weighing just 135g, this ultra-light, palm-sized drone is designed for users of all skill levels, providing an easy way to capture 4K30 video and 12MP stills using its 1/2" sensor. The Neo can take off from and land directly onto your hand, making it extremely portable and simple to use in any setting.
For stable, high-quality footage, the Neo is equipped with RockSteady and Horizon Balancing stabilization, ensuring smooth video even during fast movements or strong winds. The drone's AI subject tracking keeps your target in frame, allowing you to focus on the action without worrying about camera control. Choose from Smart Tracking, which follows a subject from any direction, or DirectionTrack, which captures the subject by flying backwards as they move toward the drone.
To add a professional flair to your videos, the Neo includes six QuickShots automatic modes:
Dronie: Flies backwards and upwards while keeping the subject in frame.
Circle: Circles the subject smoothly at a constant distance and height.
Rocket: Shoots straight up into the sky while maintaining focus on the subject.
Spotlight: Locks onto the subject while allowing the drone to move freely in any direction.
Helix: Spirals up and away from the subject in a wide arc.
Boomerang: Follows an oval flight path around the subject, starting and stopping at the same spot.
For vlogging, the DJI Neo ensures clear audio by combining your voice (recorded via the DJI Fly app on your phone) with footage while eliminating prop noise. You can control the drone using either traditional Wi-Fi connectivity through your phone (with a range of up to 164 feet) or opt for voice control by simply saying "Hey Fly" to wake the drone and execute flight commands. For users preferring more range or one-handed piloting, optional remotes like the DJI RC-N3, RC Motion 3, or FPV Remote Controller 3 are available.
The Neo is designed with beginner-friendly safety features including full propeller guards, Level 4 wind resistance, and automatic return-to-home, making it a reliable and secure option for new pilots.
